A girl will hair of ginger walks alone in the shadows A boy dressed in black and the blood of his enemies follows She trails tears behind her from the abuse she's dealt His hands drips blood of the abusers he befelled She is scared that the shadow will one day turn on her or disappear He is scared that he will be the one she fears But no matter what he made a pact to protect her so he stays behind her, ready to fight She still is scared to turn her back because he always gives her a fright But one day the pain becomes too much She's had enough She grabs the knife thrust it towards her heart But the attempt is stopped by the boy and it is inches apart The girl cries harder then she ever has before And in a way...she doesn't know what for So still they walk on, the night heavy and the light far away His blood drips from the knife wound, and her tears still lead the way
